Create & Configure the Purchasing App

Key Lesson: A Module is the application container in Lowgile. The screens, Entities, Processes, and configuration created in this tutorial all belong to the **Purchasing** Module.

This step creates the Purchasing app in Lowgile Studio. In Lowgile, an application is created as a Module.

Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Click Design in the main navigation.
  2. Select Module under Object types.
  3. Click + to create a new module.
  4. Enter a Module ID (e.g., Purchasing), and click OK.
  5. The module editor opens; close it to return to the Design workspace.

The Purchasing application is now available in the Design workspace.

Note

Lowgile creates as set of default screens each time a new application is created. These can be customized, replaced, or extended as the application is built. See Default Screens for more information.

  1. In the Main navigation sidebar, click the Configure icon.
  2. Open the Build settings.
  3. Leave all configuration fields as their default values.
  4. Select the Is Active checkbox to enable the app.

Lowgile starts the first application build.

Insight

The initial build should take between 1 and 2 minutes.

The Module name indicates the current build status under Modules in the Design sidebar:

  • Blue: The application is building.
  • Green: The build completed successfully.
  • Red: The build failed.
